About Senior Pet and Animal Rescue (SPAAR):
SPAAR is a 501(c)3 animal rescue organization located in Pittsburgh. Currently, all of their animals reside in foster homes. SPAAR’s mission is to use grassroots community efforts to help keep senior animals with their families and rescue, re-home, rehabilitate and provide hospice for those senior pets looking for a family of their own. They are currently looking for homes for two senior cats, Trinny and Tilly.
Beautiful, ten-year-old Trinny came to SPAAR after her owner passed away. This very overweight senior gal has a sweet personality, pretty tabby face and captivating green eyes. She is on a healthy diet and exercise program in her foster home and is making steady progress with her weight loss. Trinny recently had a metastatic tumor removed but her post surgery prognosis is great! Trinny enjoys chasing wand toys and exploring new spaces. She gives gentle kitty kisses and will happily let you rub her ears. She has great litter box skills and is front declawed.
Tilly came to SPAAR when her owner fell and had to go into a nursing home. While eleven-year-old Tilly has lived alone with just her person for most of her life, in her foster home she has proven to be very outgoing and friendly with people in a much more active home environment. Tilly is an older girl but she still loves to play and wants to be around her people. Although Tilly would do best in a home without other animals, she might be amenable to living with another laidback cat or a calm dog.
If you think Trinny or Tilly might be a great addition to your family, come meet them on June 20 or complete an adoption application!
*Both SPAAR and Biggies Bullies are foster-based rescues that care for only a few animals at a time. Events will only take place if the rescues have available, pet-friendly pets for adoption. Please note events may be canceled if the animals are adopted.
